Surrounded by stunning mountains - including several peaks over 14,000 feet - Adams State College is located in Alamosa, Colorado. In addition to being Colorado's premier public small college, Adams State College has been named the Regional Education Provider for southern Colorado. Four Adams State College academic programs have Program of Excellence Awards from the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.
Since its cornerstone was first laid in 1925, Adams State College grew from a teachers' college into the fine liberal arts college we know today. These days, it's not just about teaching and teaching credentials: students can earn a bachelor's degree in any of 16 majors, with 28 minors and emphases.
